“The breakfast was great, the restaurant in the club house was nicer than in the main hotel. The spa was excellent (massages and great pedicure with friendly staff). The pool was good, but busy. Convenient location.”

“located in the small downtown Lyme Regis, easy to go to the beach, shops and restaurants it is an very old inn, very tradition english wooden building, downstair is the bar and restaurant, a bit oily smell, beware of no air-con”

“Had a lovely short break at The Imperial Hotel. It's a lovely old hotel, which is a little tired in places, but is otherwise well looked after. Room was spacious and had everything I needed - wifi worked perfectly, allowing me to get some work done. Could do with a new mattress in the room I was in and the pillows were too soft for me, but that is a personal preference. I found all the staff to be wonderful and friendly, and the service and food in the restaurant was excellent. The location……

“Probably the worst hotel I've stayed at. The desk is scarcely manned. The phone just rings and rings. A sign in lugubrious English is left out for those already at the hotel with a mobile number on it, but those who are trying to call in advance are damned. There is a stench of damp in the hallway. The room is small, dark and unclean. Not recommended by any stretch of the imagination.”

“Stayed here for 3 nights on this trip. A very comfortable stay with exceptional service. The air conditioner in the room stopped functioning, but the staff quickly took care of the matter as soon as we reported it and compensated us with many free drink vouchers; the manager got soaked in the process of fixing the air conditioning but continued to apologise to us for the inconvenience. The staff are very welcoming, and the environment is very relaxing. Will highly recommend this hotel to anyone……

“Dit hotel is natuurlijk prachtig historisch, maar wij vonden de prijs-kwaliteit niet goed. Erg duur voor de kwaliteit van bijvoorbeeld onze badkamer. Deze was te vergelijken met een badkamer in een oude stacaravan. De kamer zelf was wel mooi, klein maar fijn. Ontbijt was goed, maar voor bijna 500 euro voor 3 nachten verwacht je net wat meer.”
